Cleaning Everest – of the Young, Old and Disabled

Brave New World
Singularity, longevity, bionic man; the world is spinning toward incredible progress and elastic limits, except for, in Nepal.

Nestler brought news Monday that the Minister of Tourism in Nepal has proposed new rules on Everest that would ban the young (13) the old (75 – that’s goodbye to Bill Burke and Miura), and… the disabled. Cheers not only to Erik Weihenmayer but also to all serious mountaineers with frostbite.

The new rules would bring a host of problems into the picture.
