TLGM: New Satellite Image of the Arctic Sea

(TheLastGreatMarch) This is a “fresh” look at the Arctic Sea ice, from five days ago (Feb 10). This is a night-time VIIRS IR, an infrared image as there is not enough light presently over the North Pole. It covers our route; essentially this will be home for two months, starting around Feb 28th, weather permitting. The North Pole is just off picture, where the lines converge. Continue to dispatch
