Pakistan SUMMIT fever: K2 jackpot, Broad Peak and Gasherbrum 2

Posted: Jul 31, 2012 05:05 pm EDT

(Newsdesk) News are jamming ExWeb's mailbox about summits on K2, BP and G2 this morning. Here goes a fast wrap:

Seven Summit Treks led by Dawa Sherpa reportedly put about 20 people including 10 Sherpa on K2 top today at at 10.55 am, most climbing on O2. Summiteers include Tunc Fındık and Fabrice Imprato. Polish Adam Bielecki and Azim Ghaychesaz reportedly topped out without O2 (ed note: Azim is apparently not Persian as earlier stated).

The Iranian brothers Reza and Sohbatollah Bahadorani reportedly climbed Broad Peak and Andalucia climbers reportedly topped out G2.

All results are preliminary and may be subject to changes and corrections.
