Winter Pakistan: Broad Peak climbers in Camp 3 and beyond

(Newdesk) News from Broad Peak (8047m) on February 16th: Adam Bielecki and Artur Malek reached Camp 3 (7150m). Maciej Berbeka, Tomasz Kowalski and Karim Hayyat reached Camp 2.

Amin Ullah and Shaheen Baig climbed beyond C3 to check conditions. Not known if they have slept in C3 or went down to C2.

The weather was bad, but the forecast for February 17th is better. The plan is to establish C4 (7600m) on the 17th and make a first summit attempt starting the night of February 17th or 18th.
