Pakistan Winter: Broad Peak Summit attempt cancelled

Posted: Feb 18, 2013 09:56 am EST

(Newdesk) Summit attempt was cancelled after 5 hours of climbing today when Maciej Berbeka and Tomek Kowalski were forced back by high winds.

Everyone (Adam, Arhur, Maciej and Tomek) is going to Base Camp now.

There is still no news about Karim Hayyat, reports Jan Komorowski to ExplorersWeb. "Probably Karim is with them, simply there's no news about him from BC, but no alarm."

According to Krzysztof Wielicki's report from Base Camp on FB, Maciej and Tomek left their camp at 7400 but did not reach 7820m; and the expedition will continue, weather permitting.
