(Newsdesk) "Fida has informed us that today (19th) the high altitude porters have reached Camp 2. They have searched for Joel in the area around the camp - but unfortunately still have not found any signs," reported Mohammad Ali to ExWeb.

"The weather has gotten very bad and therefore they can't go any higher. They have returned back to Base Camp and will wait for the weather to improve in order to continue the search."

According to a Nanga Parbat weather forecast February 19-21 will see heavy snowfall, heaviest during Tuesday (19th) morning. Extremely cold (max -12°C on Thursday morning, min -17°C on Tuesday night). Wind will be generally light.

February 22-24: A heavy fall of snow, heaviest during Friday morning. Temperatures will be well below freezing (max -10°C on Sun morning, min -14°C on Friday afternoon). Winds decreasing (fresh winds from the SSW on Fri night, calm by Saturday night).

Joel Wischnewski, from France, is a solo Winter Nanga Parbat climber and made his last journal entry entry on February 6th.

Joel February 2nd: "This is how I found C2 deposit. Multivitamins tabs pushed away to get access to more interesting things. The destroyed plastic bag hanging out is a raisin bag. (You can see 2 raisins in the snow, he {the animal] was surely disappointed by the taste because nothing was missing)."
