(Newsdesk) “The whole horizon line explodes…” In an eerily gloomy and hushed basecamp, a shaken Nick Cienski points and tries to describe to the camera what has just taken place.
Waiting in basecamp for what their next step will be, the 6-summits-challenge expedition just released a video of their experiences after the earthquake, naming it "Everest - A Tribute to the Fallen".

The 6 Summits Challenge team is regularly posting video by Canadian climbing documentary cameraman and movie maker Elia Saikaly who has 5 Everest and 2 Cho Oyu expeditions under his belt. Elia was on Everest also last year; he was stuck in camp 1 when a big avalanche struck the icefall and killed 16 Sherpa mountaineers.
The 6 Summits Challenge is part of Mission 14, a non-profit set up by American Nick Cienski and his wife to raise awareness and funds for organizations on the front lines of the fight against human trafficking. The expedition hoped to climb 6 of the world's tallest mountains in record time.
