(Tina Sjogren) First time we heard of him, he was about to try a crazy ice-climb on some wicked wall in Nepal.

His name was Dean Potter, and he lived as he pleased. There were speed-climbs, solo-climbs, and latest base jumps, one becoming his last.

Dean and Graham Hunt jumped off Taft Point in Yosemite Sunday morning and reportedly crashed into a rock. Details are still unclear.

The stars gave the fearless free-climber 43 years to edge-walk this planet. Sunday the ravens took him back.

Now fly, Dean Potter.
