Ian is a guide and climber living in the Canadian Rockies. He has established first ascents in Canada, Alaska, and Pakistan. For the first ascent of K6 West with Raphael Slawinski he was awarded the Piolets D'Or in 2013. Wild places and friendships motivate Ian more than grades.
