Annapurna and Manaslu: Climbers On the Move

“Looks like a little weather window is creeping up….Let’s see where it takes us,” wrote Adriana Brownlee, who is part of the only team currently on Manaslu. The snow is far from stable, but the climbers want to acclimatize and fix the route to Camp 4 as soon as possible.

Gelje Sherpa posted photos today of shoveling snow in Camp 1, but he probably shot the scene two days ago on their first attempt up the mountain.

Some climbers are also on the go on Annapurna, thanks to the fixed ropes that already reach Camp 2. On this first foray, Sajid Sadpara is joining fellow Pakistani Shehroze Kashif. Others, such as Arjun Vajpai of India, fly into Base Camp today.
