From Italy By Bicycle To Climb and Ski Laila Peak

Italian adventurer Yanez Borella has cycled from Italy to Pakistan on his e-bike to climb 6,096m Laila Peak and then ski down from the summit.

The 46-year-old Borella left Trento, Italy, on April 10 and pedaled through 10 countries, arriving in Skardu a week ago after a monumental 9,750km.

His mountaineering objective, Laila Peak, is one of the most beautiful 6,000’ers in the Karakoram. It lies in the Hushe Valley near the Gondogoro Glacier. Three years ago, Andrzej Bargiel and Jedrek Baranowski summited Laila Peak. The Polish pair then skied from 150m below the summit to Base Camp.
