Summiters’ list
Imagine Nepal’s group, with Mingma G, comprised 15 people. Jangbu Sherpa (a U.S. national) and Sohail Sakhi of Pakistan used no supplementary oxygen. Client Maria Danila became the first Romanian woman to summit K2. Accompanying her were Liu Mihe, Dilixiati Ailikuti, Li Jiang, Guan Jing, and Hu Yinghong, all from China, supported by Nepalese Aangdu Sherpa, Kami Sherpa, Lakpa Sherpa, Lakpa Tamang, and Lhakpa Nuru Sherpa.
SST’s summit group includes Tao Hu, Zhang Qingliang, and Li Na of China, Eduard Kubatov of Kyrgyzstan, and Gulnur Tumbat of the U.S., supported by Pasang Tenje Sherpa, Mingma Jangbu Sherpa, Pasang Sherpa, Sona Sherpa, and Pasang Nurbu Sherpa.
Lenka Polackova and Jan Polacek, outfitted by Prakash Sherpa’s Alpinist Climber Expeditions, also summited. We are waiting for the complete summit list and details on whether they used supplementary oxygen. With her success, Polackova became the first Slovak woman to climb K2.
