(WWL) We are proud to introduce our new wingsuit racing format. The 2016 World Wingsuit League China Grand Prix will be the most exciting and challenging race yet after organizers of the head-to-head speed race added two more distinct race courses that will determine not just the fastest athlete in the world but the most precise and technically proficient pilot as well.
Sixteen wingsuit pilots from all over the world will descend on China’s Hunan province October 13-16 to compete on Tienman Mountain in Zhangjiajie prefecture. The competition will start Thursday the 13th on the first-ever two-turn slalom course that will test pilot flying proficiency and maneuverability.
The fastest eight pilots will then advance to Saturday’s speed round, conducted on last year’s head-to-head course. The Grand Prix will conclude on Sunday with the accuracy contest, where the pilots will try to punch their heads through the center of a 1×1-meter target suspended 60 feet above the mountainside.
