Seven days of snow and rain and no chance to push ‘Women and shalk’ on Shipton Spire (5852m, Trango Valley, Karakorum), thats the report of Fixe-Koshkil Systems.
It was yesterday (13th of august) when they tried to make an attempt but the effort was non effective. They thought that the cold temperatures of the day before would dry the wall but once they were at the hard dihedral they realized it was too wet, so they decided to abort the push.
And the point is that they are short on expedition days, so the deadline to start a serious push will be next 17th of august. The weather forecast was good for past days but the real situation was not that. Lets hope the good predictions for the coming days will be the real good ones.
