Seb Bouin Sends ‘Bibliographie’ in France

French climber Sebastien (Seb) Bouin has completed ‘Bibliographie’ (9b+) on the famous Ceuse mountain in France.

Since its first ascent in 2020 by Alex Megos, only Stefano Ghisolfi, Sean Bailey, and now Bouin have completed the challenging climb.

Motivated by the process

“Bibliographie was a big goal for me this year. Since Alex [Megos] did the first ascent, I was psyched to try something really hard from someone else here in France. Even if Ceuse is very far away from my natural climbing style, I was motivated to go through the process,” Bouin wrote on his social media.

“Bibliographie is not a route that particularly suits my strengths, so it was a great challenge to do a 9b+ on tiny cramps. But now it’s time to go back to do something a little more my style,” Bouin added.

Megos proposed a 9c grade for the line. One year later, in 2021, Stefano Ghisolfi repeated the line and downgraded it to 9b+.
