Eric Larsen recalls on Facebook: “Exactly two years ago, Ryan and I were 51 days into our Last North expedition and 19.1 nautical miles from the North Pole. While we had been making good mileage, ice conditions devolved into a chaotic mess that left us overwhelmed and uncertain if we would reach our objective.”
