Tyler Andrews social media team has just announced that the U.S. trail runner has summited Everest in record time for an oxygen-assisted climber.
Andrews left Base Camp at 7:11 pm and reached the summit at 5:06 am, according to his live updates. His time of 9 hours and 55 minutes beats the previous fastest speed ascent by Lakpa Gelu Sherpa in 2003 of 10 hours and 56 minutes by a full hour.
