Desnivel update: After three failed attempts, Oscar Cadiach has decided to abandon the Broad Peak, the last mountain that remains to complete the list of the fourteen eight-thousanders without oxygen. Bad weather and bad snow conditions at high altitudes are behind the decision.
Previous: This morning Oscar Cadiach, Manolo Gonzalez “Lolo” and Sahib (Pakistani altitude porter) have launched a new attempt to Broad Peak. At present they are in the C2. If all goes well plan to try summit on Monday. Desnivel (Spanish)
