Shishapangma Summiters Move to Cho Oyu

The Climbalaya team that recently summited Shishapangma has moved right from Tingri to Cho Oyu. Viridiana Alvarez confirmed over InReach that she reached its Base Camp today. Alvarez noted she had only had one day of rest, and her ankle is still swollen. “At least it lets me walk,” she said.

There are no details on the team yet, but Kristin Harila and photographer Matias Myklebust are likely with her. Sophie Lavaud may have returned to Nepal since she has already climbed Cho Oyu.

At least some of their Nepali guides from Shishapangma will join the women on Cho Oyu. But of Tenjen Sherpa “Lama,” Ngima Rita Sherpa, Pemba Tenzing Sherpa, and Chhiring Wangchu Sherpa, we don’t know specifically who or how many yet.
