This week it was reported that brown water in Hawaii, and some water parks on the US mainland can make people ill. The danger is contaminated water coming in through the nose, for some reason killing some swimmers while leaving others unaffected.

An article in Scientific American now explains one third of people carry a bacteria in the nose that effectively kills MRSA, a discovery that may soon benefit everyone.
