Earlier this week, we reported on the upcoming expedition to re-enact with traditional gear the 1920s attempts to climb Mount Waddington, the highest peak entirely in British Columbia.
This week’s video comes from the same group of Canadian climbers. It follows their similar re-do of the 1916 first ascent of Bugaboo Spire, a short but technical granite obelisk in British Columbia’s Purcell Mountains.
The film shows the hardships that yesterday’s mountaineers endured, and the nerve required to climb with such rudimentary equipment.
