Wind and snow have forced Alex Txikon and his team back down to Base Camp. They will rest and try again.
“We’ve happy because, with a great effort, we managed to fix the route to over 7,000m,” Txikon said. So most of the work has been done and the summit lies within reach when the weather improves.
