Watch People Experience Hitchcock’s ‘The Birds’ — For Real

Late last week, crows attacked at least six people on a street in Singapore. In a scene straight out of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film, The Birds, the crows divebombed repeatedly while the pedestrians fled or tried to fend them off.

In one video, a woman shields her head with her arm as she runs away from a crow swooping at her.

Another clip shows an elderly man using a cushion to fend off the birds, while a young man wearing what seems to be an army uniform runs from the aggressive avians.

According to local authorities, crow attacks are likely due to breeding birds defending their nests or young. Arctic terns and red-winged blackbirds are two North American species that also act aggressively toward intruders.
