There is good news from Annapurna, where Russian climbers Sergey Kondrashkin, Alexander Luthokin. and Dmitry Sinev were declared missing yesterday. This morning, Dawa Sherpa shared on his social media that they had been spotted between Camp 3 and Camp 4 and that they were being brought back to Base Camp.
The three climbers were rescued using a helicopter and longline cable. All three are now safely back in Base Camp.
According to The Himalayan Times, the climbers are showing symptoms of acute mountain sickness (AMS) and frostbite. They will be taken to hospital in Kathmandu.
