More Ama Dablam Summits

Again, summits are piling up, as climbers head up the season’s little Everest: Ama Dablam. Yesterday, Seven Summit Treks experienced a rare event: They not only put a large team on top, but all four Sherpa siblings who run the company joined them: Mingma Sherpa, Dawa Sherpa, Tashi Lakpa Sherpa and Pasang Sherpa. Mingma and  Chhang Dawa have both climbed all 14 8,000’ers, while Tashi Lakpa was the youngest climber ever to summit Everest without O2. Madison Mountaineering also reports 100 percent success, although summit pics and details are still to come, because some members stayed at Camp 2 for the night.
As everyone remarks and as pictures show, the weather was stunning, with bluebird skies and mild winds.

Further summiters included Sophie Lavaud and Dawa Sangay Sherpa, Clément Bouillot, Lakpa Sherpa and Ang Nime Sherpa.

Today, Steven Giordano, Julien Hunerfrust, Angiolo Laviziano and Sergey Baranov reached the top together, along with Furtengi Sherpa, Wangchhu Sherpa, Galje Sherpa and Kalden Phura Sherpa.
