Update Sunday/Monday: Multiple commercial Everest summits are reported this weekend in Pythom Expedition Dispatches.
On the North side Kilian Jornet speed attempt is on.
Quoting local press, Montagna reports 70 summits this weekend and 3 mountaineers died on Everest within a few hours. Victims are American, Australian and Slovak. All fatalities seemed related to altitude exposure.
Summit attempts are ongoing on Annapurna NW (Adam Bielecki, Rick Allen and Felix Berg), Makalu (Thomas Laemmle) and Dhaulagiri (Marco Confortola, Mario Casanova) and Carlos Soria, 78 who reportedly aborted at 7700 meters.
