Safely on way to intermediate – base camp
After a harsh journey coming down from high camps, Jorge Antonio Salazar Gavia and Jorge Hermosillo have safely reached lower camps in their now rescue mission to their co-expeditioner Luis Alvarez, who is slowly recovering vision according to posts in his website. On direct and short communication due to high winds, Jorge stated that Luis had a serious snow blind problem and started treatment accordingly. They reached Advanced base camp and rested there last night, and now they are on their way to intermediate and conditions permitting reaching base camp as soon as possible. Getting down their partner hasn’t being an easy task, since weather has worsen on the last hours. They feel tired but with high spirits and have no doubts they will have a happy ending. Next communication when they arrive to BC. We wish them success. More info as I get it.
